Dear Community Cat Trappers:

We appreciate all you do for unowned cats in our community, you are truly humane heroes.

We can only safely do a certain number of surgeries per day. We are reaching a point where we are having to turn many people and cats away because we are reaching our daily capacity so quickly. That is not fair to the trapper who took their own time to trap and drive the cat here, nor to the cat who endured a stressful trip and may not go in a trap again.

Therefore, until further notice, we are not taking any unscheduled trapped cats for surgery on any day. We will be moving to an appointment- based scheduling system. We recognize that this is not an ideal solution, since it can be difficult to catch these kitties, but we are doing the best we can to make it fair for everyone. We will be scheduling appointments for trapped cats on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  You can make appointments (2 cats per day) by emailing contactus@ucancincinnati.org.  Please provide your contact information (name, address, and phone number), and how many total spots you need.  Priority will be given to Hamilton County cats per the terms of our grant that is providing all services for community cats for FREE. Please note there are two spay/neuter clinics in Dayton (SISCA and Dayton Humane Spay & Neuter Clinic). Ohio Alleycat Resource is another spay/neuter clinic in Hamilton County.

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation. This is exceedingly difficult for us because we want to sterilize every cat we can, but we cannot put an unfair burden on our staff. We will reassess when the demand decreases.
