We believe the love, companionship and health benefits of having a pet is something everyone deserves to experience. We also believe every pet deserves a vet to help it live a healthy life and prevent the surrender of the beloved pet to a shelter because of costly medical conditions that can be easily prevented or treated.

We provide affordable, non-emergency, basic veterinary care for pet owners who can’t afford those services elsewhere. For just $40, a pet gets a thorough examination by our veterinarian, core vaccines (rabies, distemper/parvo for dogs and FVRCP for cats), and a general dewormer. There is an additional cost for other vaccinations, medications and services. For the 2 puppy and kitten booster visits following your initial wellness visit, the fee is $20 per visit. If your pet is not yet spayed or neutered, we will schedule your pet for surgery for a reduced fee. If you choose not to sterilize your pet, you will pay an additional $10 for every wellness visit - a total of $50 per visit.

To be eligible, your family’s total household income must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines or you must have other extraordinary circumstances warranting financial assistance.

Please bring with you to your pet’s wellness appointment:

  • Your current state or federally issued photo ID.
  • Proof of household income within the guidelines below or proof of extraordinary circumstances warranting financial assistance.

The Ohio Department of Health has issued an order declaring that, effective 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2020, all elective surgeries and procedures in Ohio should not be conducted. The order is designed to help conserve personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers and first responders during the coronavirus pandemic. To comply with the order, UCAN will be closed for business until further notice.
